Our latest and pinkest photo session time-lapse extravaganza features the very lovely Lauren Jöens. Hair and makeup by kitten ninja Samantha Gribble. Samantha made some rainbow-hairbows for this shoot from real human hair! The music is one of my favorite songs Valse de chaton from 2008. You can find the entire photo set on my Flickr stream here. Time-lapse with Sarah Bronsteen

Here it is, the latest time-lapse featuring one of our favorite models Sarah Bronsteen. Hair and makeup by the talented Samantha Gribble. Sarah has shot with us several times in the past and never fails to impress us with her work. The music is from two tracks from a collaborative album with my friend Keado circa 1997.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse with Evelyn Wisniewski

Our latest time-lapse features the elegant Evelyn Wisniewski. Hair and makeup expertly executed by the exceptional Samantha Gribble. Samantha created a fun ponytail that reminded me of cotton candy with Evelyn’s extremely fine hair. The music is from a couple of years ago, when I sampled my friend Megan Coleman’s voice for an instrument patch to be used in a Halloween song. You can download this song here.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse with Alyssa Martinez

Today’s behind-the-scenes time-lapse video features the graceful Alyssa Martinez. Alyssa is also a violinist in the band Good Evening, as well as a talented dancer (a quality I enjoy in a model). Hair and makeup is by the skilled Samantha Gribble. The music is an Ironchef of Music submission written in 2008.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse with Samantha_xErika11

Our latest behind-the-scenes time-lapse features the lovely Samantha. Makeup and hair by the very talented Samantha Gribble. This shoot has a few macro shots as well, which was fun. Big thanks to Marlowe who gave me his old Nikon macro lens. The music is an ipa classic circa 2004.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse with Marissa and Samantha

Our latest time-lapse features the beautiful model Marissa. Samantha wanted a clean natural look for this shoot, and we are very happy with how it turned out! Samantha did an amazing job and Marissa looked close to flawless for the session. I even got some delicious strawberries  to make the photos even tastier!

The music is a little ditty I wrote in 2004.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Behind the Scene Film Noir Time-lapse of Erin & Katrina

If you enjoyed our latest set featuring Erin and Katrina, make sure to check out our behind the scene time-lapse video! The photo session was inspired by the silent era film noir movies of the 20′s. Watch the amazing Samantha Gribble as she miraculously transports these two moppets back in time! The music is from my archive circa 2006. View the entire photo set on my Flickr stream here.

I hope you enjoy these newfangled moving images! I would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse with EyRoyal and Samantha

For today’s time-lapse we were fortunate to be visited by the lovely EyRoyal who was in Chicago last week to work with some local photographers. Hair and makeup is by the extremely talented Samantha Gribble. Samantha designed the shawl for this shoot which is made from human hair, feathers and crystals. She also made a matching head piece that was blended into EyRoyal’s natural hair. Samantha then used white and black crystals on EyRoyal’s lips for a truly extravagant look.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!

Time-lapse reload with Ammuntion

Ammunition is back, and this week she brought latex. You might remember our last shoot with Ammunition where she brought a custom made head piece with antlers. We never worked with latex before, and I learned that ID Millennium water silicon based lubricant was Ammo’s choice when it came to giving the dress it’s mirror like shine. The dress came with a matching latex nurse hat, however we preferred the baby top-hat with a critter skull wearing it’s own top-hap, which piqued my interest in recursion.

Samantha Gribble did a fantastic job with the makeup as well as applying the lubricant! Ammo didn’t require much hair styling due to her short hair. In Ammo’s line of work, long hair is a fire hazard and she plans on keeping it short for some time.

We originally used a light purple backdrop to match Ammo’s dress, however it lacked the punch I wanted. After trying a very dark blue backdrop, we went back to our favorite turquoise back drop. We use this backdrop a lot, and it always looks great! Unfortunately it was slightly wrinkled from many uses, so I decided to show my clean-up process on one of my problem pictures. I rarely use Photoshop out of shear simplicity and because Lightroom has  fantastic tools for basic image processing, however a few cases are simply not possible to fix with Lightroom.

The music is a piece a few of you might have heard me play during a few of my electro sets. I can’t remember when it was originally written, but it is easily several years old.

I hope you enjoy this preview of the next set, and would love to hear your comments and questions!
