What is a session?

A session includes all of the setup and photographs taken in one day. They may include various looks and location changes.

What is a look?

A “look” is defined as a change of wardrobe, hair, makeup, backdrop, location, or lighting setup that will drastically differ from the first set of images.

How many pictures do you take for each look?

This is always different for everyone and every situation! There are so many variables that need to be adjusted before taking the absolute perfect picture that it is not unusual to take many photos before we are satisfied that you have the best picture. We are perfectionists!

Do I need makeup?

This depends on your personal preference, but we find that the right makeup can make both women and men look their best. We strongly recommend only using High Definition makeup, as normal makeup is extremely visible in high resolution photographs.

What is High Definition makeup?

Our equipment picks up a lot of detail. It is not unusual for a typical head-shot to pick up individual pores, wrinkles, and other imperfections that would otherwise be invisible to a low resolution point-and-shoot camera. High definition makeup is developed specifically for high resolution cameras in mind and utilize superfine microparticles. Combined with other light defusing pigment technology, these makeups offer a naturally flawless look. Normal makeup is not recommended as it will be very visible in the photographs.

Do I need a hair stylist?

We believe that every detail makes a difference. When trying to make the biggest impact, having a professional can make all the difference. We work with several stylists around the city, so this service must be requested at the time of ordering the photo shoot for a proper quote.

What is an “applicable location fee”?

That is any 3rd party fee that would be charged for us to shoot at a private location. If you choose a specific location for a shoot that isn’t public or your personal property, please let us know so we can contact the owners and ask for permission. Sometimes they may charge a nominal fee as well.

When should I book my session?

Right now! Since our photography can sometimes become a production, we recommend booking at least 2 weeks in advance.The earlier the better. Still, we understand that sometimes things just happen, so call us directly for emergencies and we will try our best to accommodate you!
